Today I have a fun idea to help kids with their reading and writing…it is these Kid’s Mailboxes & Writing Station!
I tend a couple of my grandkids on a regular basis while my daughter works, and a few weeks ago my granddaughter told me that she wanted to make a mailbox, but not for Valentines day. She wanted them to be for everyday.
Does anyone really celebrate President’s Day??
I know that it is a great shopping day and there are all kinds of sales everywhere, but does anyone out there do anything to celebrate the Presidents? I know that we do not…and was wondering if there is anyone out there that does?
Today I wanted to do another one of my favorite finds!
Since it is the beginning of the new year and a lot of us are thinking about resolutions and goals I wanted to share this book with you. I am a very type A person and I love to read organizational books and articles! :) I am a list maker and I love to write in my planner and plan out all of my “to-do’s” for the day. One of my biggest problems is that my lists are usually longer than the time in the day!
I don’t even remember where I read about this book, but I ordered it and have been working on it for 3 weeks now! I love the concept of this book, that you set ONE goal a week and work on it. (Not a whole page of them!) The second thing that I love about this book is that you are supposed to reward yourself! How many of us women ever reward ourselves? Not many. Well, now you have an excuse to reward yourself for the goals that you accomplish! Gotta love that! Another thing that you will do with this book is write a life plan. This little exercise really made me stop and think about what I really want to accomplish in my life time!
The name of this book is:
FAITHFUL fit & FABULOUS by Connie E. Sokol
Last weekend I went to the Pinners Conference with my best friend from Jr. High! Can you believe that we have been friends for that long? We have kept in touch all these years and it is so fun to have a friend that everyone thinks is my sister! (She is the one on the left) We met these other two while waiting in line to get in the first morning and we ran into each other several times during the two days. I should have handed off my phone to someone to take a picture of us together! We just kept taking pictures of each other and I do not have any of us together, even though we spent the whole weekend together. :(
I have a new item in the shop now, just in time for back to school!
These darling little lunch box notes will bring a smile to the face of your little student! Make their day with a note from home letting them know how much you love them!
There are 12 different designs—10 different sayings—with 2 blank notes to write your own message on.
All the work is done for you, all you have to do is print them, cut them out and write your own little sentiment!
Get them today and check that off your back-to-school preparation list!
One of the two grandkids that I tend is a three year old, so I have been trying to work with him a little bit on learning his numbers and alphabets. I decided that my back door was a great medium to use as a teaching tool! I can use it as a big magnet board and what kid doesn’t love to play with magnets? I decided that we would make it fun with the toads and the “You are “Toad”ally Awesome” saying for positive reinforcement! I love that it is at my back door and all of the grandkids have had a little bit of fun with it and they read that saying every time they leave my house! :) Continue reading
