4th of July Party Ideas
I thought that today I would do a round-up of some of my 4th of July ideas! This holiday is coming up quickly, so I figured it wouldn’t hurt to give you some ideas! I love this holiday…although last year it ended with a trip to the hospital!
I love most things Americana, so I just love all the decorations, banners, fireworks, parties and parades! With that introduction here is a round-up of a few of my favorite 4th of July things!
Almost Homemade-Fruit Pizza!
I had a Relief Society activity last week and we served fruit pizza. They were so yummy and they looked so beautiful! There were extra cookies and frosting…so I volunteered to take the plain cookies home. (I know…that was nice of me…right, hey, everyone else took the fruit cookies home!) I froze the cookies and the frosting and saved them for our Sunday dinner! Continue reading
How to Make Fresh Strawberries Last Longer
A couple of weeks ago my husband declared that he really did not love strawberries anymore…REALLY??? How can you not love strawberries? Well, I did not want to give up my little addition with strawberries…so I decided to see if there was anything that I could do to make my strawberries last a little longer, since I am the only one eating them. I came across this wonderful post from “To Simply Inspire” and I decided to try it out. Continue reading
Easy Rosemary Garlic Parmesan Rolls
I hope that you all had a great weekend. It rained here all weekend…but that is okay because we need the water. I did not have to go out and water all of my pots, so that was a bonus! We have had two of our grandsons staying here with us and they have been so fun to have. I will give you a recap of what we have done in the next post!
Today I have a great

Frosted Marshmallow Brownies
I hope that everyone had a great Mother’s Day weekend! We had rain ALL day on Saturday, (which we need, so it was great!) it was a perfect day to stay inside and work on some of my sewing projects! Then the sun came out on Sunday and it was a beautiful day!
I hope that you all got to enjoy your weekend and spend some time with those that you love!
I used to make these brownies a lot when my kids were younger and I have not made them for years now…but I thought that they would be a great treat for my “Sugar Sunday”. (I am trying to only eat sugar one day a week and it is on Sunday, so my friend and I have started calling it “Sugar Sunday!)

Holy Smokes Batman!
My daughter sent me a link to a Facebook post and told me that I needed to make these for her… and my reply was that she would have to wait until Sunday… because I am trying to only eat sugar once a week. Continue reading
Sweet and Salty Kettle Corn
Last month when my husband and I were in Arizona at the baseball park, we bought a bag of kettle corn. It was so good with the sweet and salty and I have been craving it again. So I got online and found a recipe (I cannot remember where this recipe came from, so I cannot give credit where credit is due!) There are several recipes and they are all very similar. I was very pleasantly surprised to find out how easy it is to make and it only has 4 ingredients! All of which I have on hand!
My Lemon Pie Flop
Last Sunday, for Easter, I decided that I would make a Lemon Meringue Pie for dessert. It was only my husband and I because we had had the whole family the week before. I am trying to be good with what I eat and I only try to have sugar one day a week. I made the whole thing from scratch and my mouth was watering, this was going to be a real treat for us!
But this is how it turned out!: Continue reading
