Spring Recipes

Today I have a few recipes that I posted last year, but they are some of my favorite “Spring” recipes so I thought that it would be fun to share them again here:

This first recipe is my husband’s absolute, most favorite dessert!

This is the one that he requests whenever I ask him what he wants to have for dessert.  And this is what he gets every year for Father’s Day!

Stuffed French Bread

Today I have a  great recipe that is one of my “go-to” recipes for an easy, quick, yummy meal that most all kids like (which is an accomplishment in and of itself!)

I made this for our super bowl party yesterday and I made enough to feed an army!  But what we had left over, got taken home for leftovers!  We had all kinds of finger foods like wings, Con Queso and chips, spinach dip, potato skins, relish plate and yummy PB brownies!

Not great diet food, but yummy party food!

Cherry Cheesecake Cups

It has been a long time since I have posted a recipe, especially a dessert recipe.

As I said yesterday, my husband had been gone and so I did not do any cooking!  It was great for the diet!  I lived on canned soup and scrambled eggs.  I can honestly diet quite well, when I don’t have to cook for anyone else! :)

But he came back and so I decided to celebrate a bit with a dessert in the middle of the week!

I made these  delicious Cherry Cheesecake Cups!

Sweet Valentines Recipe Book

Can I just start off today by saying that my husband has been gone for 2 weeks and I am sooo glad that he is back home again.  I enjoyed the break of no cooking, going out to lunch, playing and shopping with friends, for about a week or 10 days, but then it gets lonely being here by myself and I was more than ready for him to come home and take care of all the everyday stuff .  I really missed his friendship and his companionship!  So welcome home honey!

Today I have a fun little review of a cookbook that I love!  This is not a sponsored post, it is just something that I wanted to share with you because it is one of my favorite recipe books!  I said that it is a sweet Valentines recipe book, because:

It is called: Cooking for Two by Debbie G. Harman

My 5 top posts for 2012

This is a post that I shared at Ginger Snap Crafts last week and decided that I would now share it with you.  It was fun to go back through the last year and review some of the projects and recipes.  This is really a good exercise for all of us to do.  Look back through your journals, calendars, or notebooks and take a look at all the things that you accomplished throughout this last year.  It is really quite rewarding to recognize all the things you have completed or overcome!  You should really do this!

My top five posts from last year:

The most viewed and most pinned post was:

My Cute Car Kit.

This is a great way to lighten up your purse and yet still have all the things that you would need while you are out carpooling and driving kids  from place to place,  running errands, etc. etc. etc.  (Do you sometimes feel like you live in your car?)

Amazing Almond Peach Cobbler!

It is that time of year again when everyone is baking and making all kinds of goodies in their kitchens.  I, too,  have been making cookies, casseroles, soups and a lot of the good comfort foods that my family loves.  This recipe is a new one that I tried with peach pie filling from Lucky Leaf!   I have to say that it was a hit and that everyone who tried it, loved it!

Feeding An Army

Yesterday for our Sunday dinner I made Stromboli.  This used to be a family favorite when my kids were all at home and we would make this a lot of times on Sunday night.  Now when I make this I have to make enough for an army..well almost! When we get together for Sunday dinner now we are up to 19 or 20 people depending on who is there.  It is fun chaos and the noise decible goes up considerably when everyone is there.  But it is great to see the cousins become good friends to each other!
