I made these lemon cookies for our Sunday dinner yesterday and they were so refreshing with the lemon juice and the lemon zest! Perfect to welcome in springtime, don’t you think?

Valentines Roundup
I decided today that I would do a fun Valentines roundup from some of my past posts. These are my top Valentines posts that have been viewed and pinned the most…so take a look to see if there are any that you might have missed! You can just click on the link to find out more about each of these ideas!
To start off this round-up let’s begin with this yummy dessert!
Chocolate Dipped Cuties with Sea Salt
Okay, does anyone out there need a fast, easy, tasty, treat for the Super Bowl? Or perhaps you need a fun treat for your next party, get together or just to indulge yourself? This treat is perfect for all those occasions. It is great for guys, girls and kids…so that pretty much includes everyone! I could even go so far as to say that this is a “healthy” snack because dark chocolate is good for you, right?!
Root Beer Float Cupcakes
It was my husband’s birthday last week. He and I went up to the cabin last weekend, he loves to go up there and that is what he wanted to do for his birthday! It was so beautiful up there and there was NO INVERSION…so I felt like I could breathe again! It was wonderful to look out the windows and see for miles and miles! The sun was out and it was gorgeous!
I made these cupcakes for him for our Sunday dinner with the family and I think that everyone liked them, so that means they get to stay on our recipe lists. :)
Top Ten Posts for 2013
I posted this a couple of weeks over at I Should Be Mopping the Floor, and I wanted to post it here for you today!
These were my top 10 posts in 2013!
Valentine M&M’s Cookies
I must really have Valentines on the brain this week, because this is the 4th Valentines post this week!
There must be love in the air here!
Today I have these yummy M&M’s Valentine cookies. This recipe has been in our family for a long time. The name of these cookies on my recipe card is: “Leora’s Chocolate Chip Cookies” This is a nickname that I have had for my sister for a long time, I don’t really even remember where it came from, but I remember saying “Leora” in a mocking tone every time I called her that! Some things just never go away, do they?
Anyway, here is my version of these yummy cookies:
Swedish Tea Cakes
Yesterday I talked about all the different Christmas candies that I used to make with my mom when she was still here. Today, I have a cookie recipe that I am sure a lot of you have made, but it is one that we used to make all the time just for Christmas! These fun little morsels are so pretty on a plate and I am sure that is why my mom made them all of the time; they just look festive!
Christmas Candy Roundup
I thought that it would be fun to just do a round-up of some of our family’s favorite Christmas candies! Some of these recipes go way back and some are pretty new, but they have all become favorites!
Of course most anything with sugar in it, is a favorite around here! :)
I have fond memories of making candy for the holidays with my mom. We used to make all kinds of fondant and dip our own chocolates, we would make BIG batches of it and give it away to all of our friends. I also remember making anise candy, fudge, caramels and peanut brittle, those were great times and we had fun doing it all together! It still brings back good memories when I make them for my family now.
I don’t dip my own chocolates anymore but I do make fudge and peanut clusters, they are two of my favorite Christmas candies!
Thanksgiving Roundup
I thought that today I would just do a fun Thanksgiving Roundup to get us ready for next week,
with recipes, games, printables, decorations and just fun eye candy!
Here is a great site with many vintage images! I love the old vintage pictures!
Easy Toffee Fruit Dip
Today I have a super easy recipe for you that is perfect for any of your fall gatherings!
This would be a great one to make for Thanksgiving day, as an appetizer while everyone is waiting around for the turkey to get done! Or it would be a great treat to watch during all of those football games that go on all day long! Like I said, it is super easy to make and only has 4 ingredients, so the kids could even help with this recipe and give you more time on the important things, like reading all those black Friday ads! :)
