One of the crafts that we did at our retreat this last weekend were these darling seasonal banners!
One for each of the seasons, plus a “Celebrate” banner! They are all so cute, but I absolutely love the colors in the Autumn one!

Hey everyone, today I have my first Halloween Project! I realize that this is early, but decided to post it now in case any of you out there want to make one, you will have plenty of time to get it done! I bought this as a kit at one of my local quilt shops but I have seen the pattern around in several different quilt stores.
Isn’t this just the cutest!!!!
I really enjoy doing furniture makeovers but I don’t do a lot of them because my house if full of furniture and I really don’t have room to put a lot more furniture pieces in my house. But I have had this little cupboard for years and when I moved some things around this summer, I saw this cupboard in a whole new light and just had to do a little makeover on it! This cupboard used to be in my scrapbook store and held all of our class samples in it, on it, and hanging from it, so it has been put to good use! I also wanted to try my hand at making my own chalk paint, so this was a great excuse to try it out.
I am loving how it turned out:
I have taken a couple days off from blogging, but I am back.:) I have been working on some new projects and just enjoying a couple of beautiful summer days!
Today, I decided that I would take you on a tour of my summer porch.
I love this part of my home and I want it to be a welcoming place to all those who come to visit!
So, welcome to my summer porch!
I saw a flag quilt on Pinterest the other day and decided that I needed to make one! So I ran and got some fabric and put this together last night! It was really easy to make, but when I washed it to make it “rag” out, some of the fabric shrunk differently than the other and it came out a little bit crooked. I was just going to leave it, because it is just a seasonal decoration, but my OCD got the better part of me and I had to straightened it out! :)
Today I decided that I would just share a few fun ideas from past posts, to make your summer just a little bit more patriotic. With the 4th of July coming up, maybe you could use one or two of these ideas. Just click on the link below each picture for step-by-step directions or recipes.
This first idea, to help with your decorating needs, are these fun lollies. They are easy to make and they are quite stunning! I made mine into a garland and you can learn how to make your own too:
If you need a really yummy, refreshing drink for your outdoor parties this summer, you will want to try this beautiful Cherry Limeade drink! It tastes as good as it looks!
Next I will show you some fun games and ideas for your next summer party! The kids of all ages loved these games, so get a jump start and get the supplies to make your own, along with fun prizes!
This recipe is perfect for snacking, but I must warn you that it can be very addicting! With the sweet and salty taste, you won’t be able to eat just one handful! It is a combination of chocolatey, sweet, salty, peanut butter, and marshmellowy bliss! This is fun to package up in individual cups or bags and looks so pretty! There is also a story behind the name of this treat!
And last, but not least, here is a fun printable for you to use! We all know how precious our freedom is, so let’s let it RING! You can make it into a faux canvas block, like I did here, or you can just print it and frame it. There is the tan background or a white version.
So that is my patriotic round-up. I hope that there is one or two ideas that you can use for your summer fun!

I have a fun, quick idea for you for this Memorial Day weekend. If you are doing a BBQ or picnic, here is a simple, yet elegant way to decorate your tables!
I have a potting table down on my back patio and I love it! But we had a big maple tree that died and we had to cut it out and the potting table was right in front of this tree, so we had to move it out of the way to cut the tree down. This is what my poor table looked like when I pulled it out of the way:
A couple of weeks ago I was able to help with a friend’s daughter’s wedding.
It was so much fun and I absolutely loved the colors…turquoise and orange!
They had a family dinner and wanted to use the Orange Crush bottles as part of the decorations! So cute.
