Feb. 2014 Visiting Teaching Handout

Is it really February already? (well, almost)  My oh my, how times flies when you are having fun! :)

Here is my handout for my church’s visiting teaching handout for February.

All of the lessons this year are focused on a trait of the Savior.

I love the trait for this month:

“Good Shepherd”

I decided to use this quote from President Monson: “Ours is the responsibility to care for the flock…May we each step up to serve” but the scriptures that are quoted this month are also excellent quotes and ideas!

Everyday Jar Toppers

Today for my Thursday Thought, I thought that I would give you my thought but also give you a printable to go along with that thought…

My thought is:

Serve Someone Today!

I had a request for some everyday jar toppers and so that is what I have for my post today.  I would love it if you would print these out, put something fun in the jar and deliver it to someone…JUST BECAUSE!

Thursday’s Thought-Every Love Story…

How is everyone doing today?  I am still in the cleaning out and organizing mode!  I love it when I get in this mode, I seem to get this way every January and I have to take advantage of it because it does not seem to stay very long!  I got my closet all cleaned out and organized and most of my office (I still need to work on my desk top a little bit)  Today, I put a BUNCH of stuff away in my scrapbook room and organized somewhat.  I still have so many scrapbook supplies from when I owned my store.  I need to purge some of it out, but I don’t really even know where to start!  How about you, are you in the cleaning/organizing mode or has that mode already passed you by? :)

Well, here is my Thursday’s Thought for this week.  I thought that this would be a fun one to print and put in a frame to put in my kitchen to go along with my few Valentines decorations.

I love this saying :

Every-Love-Story-000-Page-1

This would be a fun little framed gift or it would also make a cute card or tag!

To print, right click  over image and go to “save image as” then save in a folder.  Or you can right click over image and go to “copy image”  then open your favorite program like Word or Presentations, right click again and go to “paste”  You can then size it and print it.  This is formatted to 8 x 10 for those that would like to send it to their favorite photo processing center.

I hope that you are having a great day…be sure to  Hug the ones you love today.

Thanks for visiting!  Love Ya!

Valentines Countdown

Today I have a fun little printable Valentines Countdown for you to make for all those little Valentines in your life!   It is a countdown to KISSES!  ( I think you should get a real kiss each day besides the chocolate ones!)

My little 4 year old grandson just walked in while I was taking these pictures and the first thing he said is “Do I get one of those?!”  Then then next thing he said is, “are you going to make one for everyone?”  So I guess the pressure is on for me to make all the grandkids one of these! :)

Thursday’s Thought-A Goal is…

It is snowing today in Utah!

I am excited about the snow because I wanted to go cross country skiing a couple of days ago and when I checked on it, the place I wanted to go to was closed because of “Lack of Snow!”   Really…in Utah?  Well, now maybe it will be open again and I can go sometime soon! :)

With it still being the beginning of January and a lot of us making goals and resolutions…

I decided to use this for my thought today:

A-goal-is-000-Page-1

How are you all doing on your new goals?  I am still setting weekly goals  and following the guide in this book and I am loving this process.  I am going to frame this and put it in my office for a fun reminder to keep me going on my weekly goal!  :)  Do any of you need a cute reminder too?

To print, right click over image and go to “save image as” then save in a folder.  Or you can right click over image and go to “copy image” then open your favorite program like Word or Presentations.  Right click again and go to “paste”  You can then print it.  This is formatted to 8 x 10 for any of you that would like to send it out to your favorite photo processing center.

Thanks for visiting today!  Love Ya!

January 2014 Visiting Teaching Handout

I hope that you all had a great New Year’s Day!

We had a great day and went to the movie, “Frozen”.  It is a darling movie and I can see why all the kids love it…I loved it!
I was also able to start organizing a little bit, but I have a whole lot more to go!  I still have not put all my Christmas away, which is not like me, but I just cannot seem to jump in tackle it quite yet.  But I will! :)

Here is the Visiting Teaching handout for this month for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the title of this message is, “The Divine Mission of Jesus Christ:  Exemplar”
I really love the title of this and that is why I included it on this month’s handout.  I looked up the word exemplar and thought that I would include it here for you:
______________________________________________________________________________________________________
ex·em·plar
igˈzemplər,-ˌplär/
noun

  1. a person or thing serving as a typical example or excellent model.
“he became the leading exemplar of conservative philosophy”
synonyms: epitome, perfect example, paragonideal, exemplification, textbook example, embodimentessencequintessence

    __________________________________________________________________________________________________

I love this definition and especially the word quintessence!  Click on that word to see what I mean.

So here are the printables for this month:
