May 2014 Visiting Teaching Handout

First of all I have to apologize for the troubles that we had yesterday!  A lot of you let me know that you could not see any of the images or navigate around the blog, and I appreciate all of the support I recieved.  I think that we are now fixed up again!  Thanks for your patience  during  our new facelift!

This month for your visiting teaching message to your sisters, you will need to pick your favorite conference talk to teach.  There are so many good ones again this time that it is hard to pick! :)

Since it is soon going to be gardening time around here, I thought this would be a fun theme to work around, so I made my regular card, a blank card and a seed packet!May 2014 VT handout

Today I am excited to give you these recipe cards!

These have been a long time in coming.   I made them to match my Recipe Book Dividers.  So now you can organize your recipes with the dividers and have matching cards to go with them! :)

Feb. 2014 Visiting Teaching Handout

Is it really February already? (well, almost)  My oh my, how times flies when you are having fun! :)

Here is my handout for my church’s visiting teaching handout for February.

All of the lessons this year are focused on a trait of the Savior.

I love the trait for this month:

“Good Shepherd”

I decided to use this quote from President Monson: “Ours is the responsibility to care for the flock…May we each step up to serve” but the scriptures that are quoted this month are also excellent quotes and ideas!

Everyday Jar Toppers

Today for my Thursday Thought, I thought that I would give you my thought but also give you a printable to go along with that thought…

My thought is:

Serve Someone Today!

I had a request for some everyday jar toppers and so that is what I have for my post today.  I would love it if you would print these out, put something fun in the jar and deliver it to someone…JUST BECAUSE!

I have done 6 different lid toppers that could be used for any occasion. Continue reading

December 2013 Visiting Teaching Handout

I hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend.  We had a great one even though there was a lot of excitement in our neighborhood!  One of our neighbors had a fire in their home on Thanksgiving morning!  The home received smoke damage and damage to half of the house, but it is not a total loss, thank goodness!  We are hoping that they will be able to move back in a week or two!  But it will probably take months to get their home all put back together!  It really makes you stop and count your blessings and my number one blessing is always my family, as was our neighbor’s!  Everyone was safe and that was the most important thing!

But now, here is the December visiting teaching handout for Relief Society for my church  I love that it is all about the Savior for this month, because to me that is what Christmas is all about!

I chose to focus on this quote by  Elder D. Todd Christofferson.

November 2013 Visiting Teaching Handout

This month for your visiting teaching message you will need to pick your favorite conference talk to discuss with your sisters, so I decided just to do a general card that you can hand out with any talk that you choose.  With it being November, I went with a “thankful” theme.  We all have many blessings that we need to be thankful for, one of them being the fact that we have a general conference twice a year with a living prophet to lead our church!  I love conference weekend and the wonderful spirit that I feel every time I listen to our leaders.

So with that being said, I hope that you can show your gratitude to your sisters for all of your blessings.

Halloween Soup Can Surprise!

I cannot believe that October is already more than half over!  Where does the time go???

Today for my Thursday’s Thought, I decided to make these fun Halloween Soup Can labels, instead of a thought, I don’t think that anyone will mind… right?

I am sure that you have probably seen this idea before but they are such a fun idea for kids, grandkids, co-workers, visiting teaching, neighbors or to BOO your friends!

Owl Tags

I went to Swiss Days this weekend and it was a complete MAD HOUSE!  I have never seen that many people there!  I am glad for the vendors, but boy was it hard to get around and it was also very hot at 10 in the morning!  But I did manage to get a few fun things, one of them being a darling little boy quilt kit, I need another quilt like I need a hole in the head, but it was just too cute to pass it up!  :)

My husband and I went up to the cabin this weekend too and there is pretty good progress being made.  We are hoping to have everything put back together by next weekend.  We are keeping our fingers crossed!

I had so many kind comments and emails and Facebook comments this weekend with the Sept Visiting Teaching handout and I want to thank all of you that took the time to write, it really makes my day to hear from each of you!

To thank all of you for your support…I had a request to make the owl tags with no writing, so here is the blank version for you to use for any personal use!  These are perfect for gift tags, notes, journaling tags in scrapbooks, or just to make a fun list on!

Sept-2013-VT-003-blank-owl-tagsI hope that you have a great rest of the weekend!

Thanks again for your support and for visiting today!  Love Ya!

June Calendar Ideas

Since Father’s Day is in June, I decided to make a calendar to honor Father’s!   I love the mustache craze and thought that it would be fun to incorporate them in my theme for this month!  I love how this turned out and the grandkids are having fun with the interactive mustaches!
